Rx Cool is our internal way of noting a specific firing type. Usually done in a wood-firing kiln but not necessarily, it starves oxygen at a certain extended phase, resulting in a dark and moody color palette. It’s my favorite method, and what I studied in grad school. I’m keeping the absolute best of everything from this firing because the results were so… so sexy. Don’t ask me for them.

As with all my woodfired work, these are “dirty” porcelain. Color is pulled out by the flame. These are fairly quiet in their presentation, and sanded smooth as a baby’s butt.

specs: 16 available.

…yes, they can go through the industrial washer. The painting is embedded in the clay.

*at the risk of repeating myself as you go shopping: for the moment, I am keeping groups intact, because I am reaching out to restaurants only with this page of offerings. Please let me know if you are interested in breaking a group and I will make a note and keep you informed. But quite importantly! I love commissions. If you want work in white porcelain, talk to me :) I can’t make these cloud plates in white but I can order them by the hundred plus. (as you might guess, the price drops by volume) All this woodfired work is super-rare and I won’t be making it again in this way, if ever.
