Payment & How to find me

I accept most forms of payment. Studio visits are always fun because then you might end up with odd bits, B-grades, and little freebies depending on what you’re looking for. Post-Covid, I’ve been exhibiting in friends’ gardens in Portland, instead of doing art fairs. For all of those events, sales are final.

Chefs/Restauranteurs enjoy a discount for large orders. If I need to travel beyond Portland to deliver a volume of existing work, I will ask for a little help with expenses. If I am taking a commission from a new client, I might ask for half the payment up front. Thanks!

Order Confirmation

You will receive an order confirmation email as soon as you have placed an order. If you do not receive this email please contact Careen@LusciousPorcelain.com, so that I may investigate and confirm that your order has been placed successfully.

Availability

Orders are normally shipped within 5-10 business days. If any of the items you have ordered are out of stock I will contact you immediately and send a refund. (Sometimes I sell something in person and forget to update the site, sorry). I ship to Canada :) but otherwise I cannot ship internationally unless you have your own DHL account you can give me. sorry….

Pricing

Items available on the website reflect both current stock that can be purchased right away, as well as forms in the collection that may be midway through production, included to pique your interest for potential commissions. Prices change slowly over time, and reflect me at least attempting to earn a living wage.

Commission

I welcome commissions tailored to your needs, should you find a form that strikes your fancy but wish some aspect of it were different.  If I am intrigued by your request, I would not charge for development time, as I relish the opportunity to find new expressions of my aesthetic.  I would provide a quote per item that accounts for fulfilling the order at a price that could be sustainable should I continue to produce the item into the future, and we would take it from there.

Please bear in mind that commissions will take some time to fulfill: I am one woman doing everything, so a large order will likely take several months before it is ready for delivery. Please understand that, like the stones that they really are, ceramic works cannot be rushed.

I regret to say that with rare exception, I don’t think I can take commissions for woodfired work. I do not have control over the kilns in which I fire, and the results are too nerve-wrackingly inconsistent.

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel an order, you may do so by contacting me at Careen@LusciousPorcelain.com. If the order has already been packaged and sent, I would request that you return the items to me once they have been delivered without opening the package, and that you pay return shipping.

Returns / Exchange

I accept returns for store credit on all items except commissions and sale items. Returns must be sent to me at your expense within 1 month from the date of shipment and must be in their original condition and professionally packaged (for which I would ask to see a receipt if the item arrives broken). Shipping costs incurred by Luscious Porcelain cannot be refunded or credited for exchange.
