Oysters

Oysters
Soft and strong, these porcelain dishes are a new form in appreciation of Eva Zeisel. I intend to make a line in this vein. Please also refer to this elevated serving dish.
This group was woodfired in a reduction-cooled method, which you would only refer to if you wanted to dork out on chemistry with us. Suffice to say that it is very specific, usually generating very moody and unusual results. In this clay, pink and turquise.
Specs: 24 are available.
…yes, they can go through the industrial washer. The painting is embedded in the clay. I’m happy to provide a high-resolution photo by email if you’re having difficulty zooming in on the details on this website.
*at the risk of repeating myself as you go shopping: for the moment, I am keeping groups intact, because I am reaching out to restaurants only with this page of offerings. Please let me know if you are interested in breaking a group and I will make a note and keep you informed. But quite importantly! I love commissions. If you want work in white porcelain, talk to me :) I can’t make these cloud plates in white but I can order them by the hundred plus. (as you might guess, the price drops by volume) All this woodfired work is super-rare and I won’t be making it again in this way, if ever.
